A France international who supposedly “prefers” to join Manchester United will not play for Liverpool. But do the Reds truly want Adrien Rabiot?

Both Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in Adrien Rabiot, according to French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin. His group is in negotiations with the opposing teams, and an agreement may be reached shortly.

Rabiot left Juventus at the conclusion of his contract last month, and he is now free to sign with any team. But he has a choice about where he wants to go next.

Rabiot is ‘coming closer’ to a deal, according to Collet-Gaudin, and he would rather transfer to Manchester United than Liverpool. However, the 29-year-old is free to decide slowly, so perhaps there’s more to this tale than meets the eye.

Romano denies any interest in Liverpool.
Perhaps, though, there isn’t even a story. Contrary to what Fabrizio Romano says, Liverpool does not appear to be in the running for Rabiot and is not currently working on a deal for him.
Romano on X states, “Adrien Rabiot’s priority as a free agent is playing Premier League football.” Additionally, Rabot has offers from other leagues. however, I’m still awaiting PL clubs.

“Liverpool are NOT working on a deal to sign Rabiot, despite recent links.”

Thus, it might be best for those Liverpool supporters who were hoping to see Rabiot at Anfield to abandon that notion.

Given that Rabiot really doesn’t have room, we believe it is doubtful that Liverpool is working on a transaction here. Given the salary he would seek at 29, would he truly be a sure starter right away?

Giving younger players who are already affiliated with the team the minutes makes far more sense. Now that he’s recovered from injury, Stefan Bajcetic, for example, seems like a much safer pick for Liverpool in the upcoming campaign.

Investing in Rabiot is undoubtedly outweighed by the long-term advantages.
