After returning to Liverpool, Fernando Torres spoke a few kind things about Mohamed Salah.
After Mohamed Salah returned to Liverpool last weekend for a legends match against Ajax, Fernando Torres was all praise for the player. In front of almost 60,000 spectators at Anfield, the Reds overcame a late deficit to defeat their Dutch opponents, and the Spaniard was on target for them.
Torres spent four years on Merseyside and scored eighty-one goals for Liverpool before joining Chelsea on the last day of the January transfer window in 2011. When asked about his favorite Liverpool players following Saturday’s match, he was all love for Salah, with whom he had played at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking about Salah, Torres remarked, “I remember when he came to England and he was very young and didn’t have the minutes he deserved.” “He needed to relocate to Italy, establish his worth, and locate a unique team for a unique player.
The repercussions of his own actions are visible. He is, in my opinion, one of the best players of the past ten years and a top player. He is my favorite player, and in the past ten years, he has been among the finest in the world, as I have always stated.”
After joining Chelsea from Basel, Salah first had trouble adjusting to the club and failed to leave an impact on Jose Mourinho. After being sent on loan to Fiorentina and then Roma, he eventually made his permanent home with the latter, where he became one of Europe’s most feared attackers.
After Liverpool offered Salah the chance to come to England in 2017, the 31-year-old has not looked back, and he is currently regarded as the team’s most valuable player. He has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season alone, keeping the Reds in the running for several titles.
Salah has already acknowledged that he sought a move outside of England because he was unable to handle the pressure of playing for Chelsea at such a young age. “It was really hard for me mentally,” he stated. I was under too much external pressure from the media, too much for me to bear. I was hardly playing at all. I thought, “No, I have to leave.”
You can either prove the folks wrong or inform them that they are correct to place you on a bench. I had to disprove their assertions. Having a real chat with oneself is the best thing you could do. Simply grab a coffee, take a seat, and ask yourself what you want.
“Some people struggle to adequately confront who they are, but that’s okay with me. When I’m having trouble, I simply look in the mirror and accept my situation.”
