Since joining Liverpool this season from Brighton and Hove Albion during the summer transfer window, Alexis Mac Allister has been a revelation.

The midfielder for Liverpool, Alexis Mac Allister, stated that he changed from wearing tracksuit bottoms to shorts after hearing Mohamed Salah’s remark.

Since joining the Reds during the summer transfer window from Brighton, the 25-year-old has been a great player. In what is manager Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge, he has developed into a vital component of their midfield, assisting them in mounting another title assault.

A year ago, Mac Allister was instrumental in Argentina’s World Cup victory. This time, he is vying for the crown. Despite his native country’s generally warmer climate, he was unprepared for the bitter cold of an English winter.

At Brighton, where he studied for just over two years, he developed a habit of dressing in tracksuit bottoms for warm-ups. The 25-year-old, however, decided to forgo that appearance in favor of shorts after speaking with Salah.

“I used to wear pants when I lived in Brighton. Then I arrived here, and I recall that we went outside for the warm-up versus Sheffield [United],” Mac Allister said on Liverpool’s TV channel, as cited by the Mirror.

“What am I doing? Mo Salah asked me as I was putting on a helmet and pants. How come you are wearing that? I haven’t worn pants since that day, hence… solely as a result of Mo.”

34 appearances in all competitions have been made by Mac Allister, who started the Carabao Cup final that Liverpool won. His new team still has a chance to win both the Europa League and the Premier League.

The Reds are only one goal behind leaders Arsenal on goal differential, despite being second in the table. They defeated Sparta Prague in the round of sixteen to go to the Europa League quarterfinals, where they will take on Atalanta.

Furthermore, Mac Allister is optimistic that Liverpool will win at least one more title before the season ends. He maintained that Klopp has assembled a winning team, which gives his club a strong advantage going into the final stretch.

“Perhaps we can consider the Premier League and Europa League this year. I really believe that you have to work for what you want, and this group excels at working hard for what they want. This is a collection of winners, in my opinion,” he continued.
