The first half was somewhat of a nightmare as Diogo Jota was pulled off with what appeared to be a terrible injury condition, despite the fact that they led 1-0 at halftime. Following Curtis Jones’s earlier injury, the Portuguese star was carted off the field in obvious agony.

Then, at halftime, Darwin Nunez was also substituted off by Jurgen Klopp, raising yet another concern for the Reds.

Jota is, of course, the main concern right now, and TNT Sports’ Jules Breach revealed what one of the Liverpool coaches had said about Jota in the tunnel as halftime approached.

“I have an update regarding Liverpool’s injuries. During the first half, some tackles did not sit well with Jurgen Klopp.” Diogo Jota’s injury is to his knee, according to a Liverpool coaching staff member I talked with in the tunnel. Breach remarked, “He was stretched out past me and appeared to be in a lot of pain.

The timing of Jota’s injury couldn’t be worse for Liverpool.

Although Jota is dealing with his injury and everyone is hoping for a speedy recovery, Liverpool may be facing more serious problems.

Due to Jota’s absence, Liverpool’s prospects of winning all the competitions they are still in are reduced. Jota has been crucial to the squad this season.

Jota is also unfortunate because it appears that he may miss the Cup Final, which would be devastating for any player on any club.

Hopefully, Jota’s injury isn’t as serious as it initially appeared to be, and there may be some positive news regarding the midfield player later this week.
