Real Madrid player Rodrygo is the target of an amazing £68 million deal from Liverpool, according to a report from Spain.

With Michael Edwards back and new sports director Richard Hughes on board, the Reds are anticipated to focus on wingers in the forthcoming transfer window. This gives Liverpool the opportunity to implement their transfer ambitions.

Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is one of their rumored targets; in recent days, the attacker has been connected to an unexpected move to Anfield.

The futures of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are in doubt, which means the Reds may have a busy summer window filling their offensive needs.

The first £51 million approach from Liverpool is said to have been quickly rejected as “unacceptable,” but Kylian Mbappe’s impending arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu may cause Real Madrid’s forward line some unease this summer.

With Mbappe’s arrival, Nacional reports that ‘everything indicates’ Rodrygo will leave Madrid this summer; Liverpool views him as a ‘interesting successor’ to Salah.

Florentino Perez, the club president, is apparently holding out for offers of at least £85 million, but Liverpool believes that a £68 million proposal may be sufficient to persuade Real to allow Rodyrgo to depart.

Given his talent, potential, and background, Rodrygo—who has already won the Champions League for Real against Liverpool in 2022—would be a wonderful addition to any team, but it seems improbable that the Reds would have made an official bid for the winger.

Liverpool hasn’t appointed a manager to replace Jurgen Klopp this summer, so they won’t be rushing to make any transfers until that is resolved.

Although the 23-year-old only signed a contract extension with Real Madrid in November of last year, he has 13 goals and 8 assists for the Spanish team this season.
