After the Premier League results on Easter Sunday, Liverpool’s route to winning the title became much clearer.

In their first game after the international break, the Reds defeated Brighton 2-1 at Anfield early on Sunday afternoon to go back on track. Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah goals sealed the three points on Merseyside, keeping Liverpool in the running for the title.

Liverpool’s focus swiftly shifted to the Manchester City vs. Arsenal match taking place at the Etihad Stadium following their victory over the Seagulls. The game between the two teams vying for the title ended in a scoreless tie.

The draw has put Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings, two points clear of second-place Arsenal and three clear of third-place City. Now that the busy stretch has begun, Jurgen Klopp and company will get ready for a match that takes place at Anfield on Thursday night against Sheffield United.
