Given that some Borussia Dortmund fans have already lost patience with Jadon Sancho, Manchester United supporters feel they have been validated.

Tuesday saw Sancho make his Champions League comeback as Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven drew 1-1.

In the first leg of their last-16 match, Dortmund led 1-0 at the half, but immediately after the break, the home team tied the score with a penalty kick.

When Sancho was substituted in the 68th minute, it’s safe to conclude that his return to the grandest stage of European club football was not a memorable one.

The 23-year-old winger failed to create a single opportunity, finish a dribble, or record a goal or an assist.

To make matters worse, Sancho only won two of his seven duels, lost possession twelve times, and completed just 71% of his passes.

Sancho had a falling out with United manager Erik ten Hag, thus in January of 2021, he went back on loan to Dortmund, the team from which Man United had signed him in a £73 million deal.

Ten Hag stated in the open in September that Sancho’s lack of participation in United’s Premier League match against Arsenal was due to his application in training.

After Sancho declined to apologize, he retaliated, alleging he was being exploited as a scapegoat, He was kept out of the starting lineup.

Although United supporters couldn’t agree on who was at fault, those who believed Sancho was at fault today feel justified because of the attacker’s subpar play.

However, I believed Ten Hag to be the issue. Huge failure!,” one fan said on X, while another added, “It’s clear now that Ten Hag wasn’t the issue.”

It seems that some Dortmund supporters are already losing patience with Sancho.

“Today, [Marco] Reus and Sancho are complete failures. A supporter of the Bundesliga team commented on X, “It’s unfortunate, I was hoping for Champions League BVB but the situation just doesn’t get any better.”

“Sancho’s recent employment at BVB has truly paid off. He hasn’t demonstrated anything at all, and you have a young player on the bench who can pose a threat to a defense. One more commented, “[Edin] Terzic is loyal to the worst players ever.”

After losing patience, a supporter yelled, “Get Sancho outta here, man.”

In six games since rejoining Dortmund, Sancho has contributed two assists.
