Report and complimentary highlights from Friday’s Sky Bet Championship game between Leeds United and Leicester City at Elland Road; goals from Patrick Bamford, Archie Gray, and Connor Roberts lead Daniel Farke’s team to an incredible victory.

Leeds defeated Leicester 3-1 and cut the Foxes’ lead at the top to six points, apparently blowing open the Championship title battle. Leeds had trailed 1-0 at one stage.

The Foxes led going into the last ten minutes of the match thanks to a header from Wout Faes after 15 minutes, and just before the hour, Patson Daka’s second goal was controversially called out for offside.

However, Leeds, who failed to score in the first 67 minutes with a single effort on goal, made a spectacular comeback.

After Connor Roberts scored his first goal since signing on loan from Burnley in January, teenager Archie Gray scored another goal that sent Elland Road into a frenzy after it bounced off Hamza Choudhury and then Faes before settling beyond Mads Hermansen.

Daniel Farke’s team won their seventh consecutive league game as substitute Patrick Bamford added to the advantage in the lingering seconds after assisting Daniel James’ late free kick.

The FA Cup’s fifth round will feature both teams’ upcoming matches.

Tuesday, February 27 at 7.30 p.m., sees Leicester travel to the south coast to play Bournemouth; the next evening, Leeds hosts Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the same time.

They will both be back in action for the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, March 2.

Leicester hosts struggling QPR at 3pm, while Leeds takes on Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium live on Sky Sports Football at 12.30pm.
