Under Arne Slot, Liverpool are prepared for what may be a busy summer transfer season.

This summer, Arne Slot will be extremely busy trying to figure out which players Liverpool needs in the transfer window.

One might argue for improvement across the board, but Slot will undoubtedly see defense as his first objective as he looks to expand on the Reds’ third-place result from the previous campaign.

Joel Matip has already left Anfield, and there are still legitimate concerns about Ibrahima Konate’s ability to perform well enough to warrant a regular starting position next to Virgil van Dijk.

However, a potential new goalkeeper is the subject of our most recent media roundup, and a Liverpool great has been voicing his opinions about a current Reds player.

James Trafford Cup
According to reports, Liverpool will compete with Bayern Munich for Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.

The Reds and Newcastle United have been linked to a move for Trafford recently; however, should they choose to pursue a deal, they will now have competition from another team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold made the forecast.
Trent-Alexander Arnold put in another strong performance for his country on Monday night, but former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol can not see the right-back starting for England at the European Championships this summer.

Alexander-Arnold, who made the most passes (90), crosses (7), and opportunities (5) of any player on the field, contributed significantly to the triumph in a 3-0 victory over Bosnia.

Nicol, meanwhile, is still of the opinion that the 25-year-old will start at the European Championship. After England’s friendly victory, the Scot said on ESPN FC: “Trent Alexander-Arnold will not start against Serbia and could have scored a hat-trick today.”

He will never, ever start against Serbia as the right back; not even in the wildest of scenarios, would he start in the middle of the field.

“It will be Bellingham, Rice, and Foden if Gareth Southgate is going to be successful. Conor Gallagher will likely be brought in and played next to Rice if he decides to be a little negative. Bellingham will be in front of them, and Foden will go to the left. I just cannot picture Trent Alexander-Arnold starting on that field.

“I challenge anyone to explain to me why he will begin. In terms of defense, he won’t get started. Gareth Southgate doesn’t start there because he wants to make sure the back four is strong. He won’t take a chance and start him in the opening match of the European Championship.

“You have the non-player Foden. It was essentially a reserve team, to be honest. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s situation doesn’t seem favorable from any angle.
