Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord, is the clear favorite to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and the Reds may meet one of the Dutchman’s top requests at Anfield.

Arne Slot might finally consider moving to the Premier League if Liverpool advances to the Champions League.

The Dutchman has been positioned as the front-runner to succeed Jurgen Klopp as manager of Anfield after his departure. According to reports, the Reds are prepared to make a move for the current Feyenoord manager after failing to land either Ruben Amorim or Xabi Alonso.

Slot has previously been connected to a move to the Premier League. Ange Postecoglou was reportedly viewed as a target for Tottenham prior to his appointment.

The side from North London even went so far as to provide Slot with an offer. But one of his main desires was to manage in the Champions League, therefore he turned down the opportunity to relocate.

The 44-year-old said, “Playing in the Champions League was the decisive factor.” “Being able to build on the last two seasons, having a great time in private, and the amazing work with the staff and players.”

“I was unsure of what would transpire regarding Tottenham.” I considered all the options, including whether or not my coworkers would want to accompany me. Though I don’t think it’s cool to say, you can consider it! However, since that creates an expectation, I plan to stay.

Feyenoord, Slot’s current team, won the Eredivisie this season, guaranteeing them a spot in the competition this term. They were eliminated after failing to advance from their group and falling into the Europa League.

As things stand, Liverpool might meet Slot’s expectations to play in the Champions League the next year. In the Premier League right now, the Reds are 14 points ahead of Tottenham in fifth place.

Liverpool would be guaranteed a spot at the top of the European football table the next season if they were to win two of their next five games. They won’t be happy with that, though, since the Reds have a chance to win the Premier League again under Klopp before the season is out.

In other news, Slot and Feyenoord might get back together in the upcoming season. The Dutch team is almost certain to secure a Champions League spot as well. With four games left in the campaign, Slot’s team leads Twente by 12 points despite sitting second in the Eredivisie.

The 45-year-old Slot has two years left on his Rotterdam deal. It has been estimated that Liverpool would need to spend £8.59 million to acquire him out of that agreement.
